This damaging accusation sets off a chain of events that will ultimately prove deadly. As the premiere episode explains, the turmoil will supposedly boil up into a confrontation that leaves one character dead.
“Big Little Lies” shares a lot in common with ABC’s “Desperate Housewives,” although “Big Little Lies” plays with a more serious tone, which gives it a heft of true crime grit, “Desperate Housewives” never evoked. Like "Desperate Housewives" its story centers on the shocking death of a community member, and the investigation that works to untangle the events, which led to their demise.
The first “Big Little Lies” feature I contributed to Inquisitr focuses on the behind-the-scenes angle of the miniseries. It is an article that aims to explain everything you need to know about “Big Little Lies.” There is trivia about the cast, including which projects they have previously worked on together. Hint: there have been a lot. There is also an in-depth look at the plot, without giving away any crucial spoilers.
The premiere of “Big Little Lies” sets up the characters, and a lot of compelling drama for future episodes. In my second “Big Little Lies” feature for Inquisitr, I analyzed, and reviewed the 6 biggest questions from the premiere. Everything from, what is haunting Jane (Woodley), to what is up with Celeste’s (Kidman) marriage, to why Madeline’s (Witherspoon) kids treat her so terribly, are all explored.
Another musing concerns Jane’s son, and a possible connection to Celeste’s husband. Will the theory lead anywhere? Tune in to find it. New episodes of “Big Little Lies” air Sundays at 9/8c on HBO.
