If you watched the video above, you know the reason for “The Blacklist” Season 10 remaining part of my not-watched-yet list. Red’s identity has been a complicated mystery since the very beginning of the series. When it began, though, we thought we knew his name, and we only needed to know why Red drew himself inside of Liz’s orbit. It turns out we did not even know that.
With my favorite TV heroine gone, “The Blacklist” has lost the emotional resonance any reveal will have in Season 10. It is too late for us to see Liz and Red properly meet and embrace with their real identities known to one another. The NBC series lost a lot of heart with Liz’s death, and it never truly recovered last season.
I am sorry, but that is true, at least to me. If Red’s true identity is revealed and all the speculation is put to bed in Season 10, this long-time fan will be shocked. If “The Blacklist” has a middle name, it would be “#UnsolvedMystery.” When the series started, I never guessed that Red was/is actually Katarina Rostova. All of the evidence arguably points there.
It will not be a surprise if fans’ “Redstova” theory is confirmed by “The Blacklist” in Season 10. It is time for an answer once and for all, though. Until we know if we will all get one, the beloved long-running series can count one viewer out for the initial ride.
New episodes of “The Blacklist” Season 10 air Sundays at 10 pm EST on NBC, and you can watch them later on Peacock. If you liked Eclectic Pop’s YouTube video above, please leave a comment sharing your thoughts on the final season. Are you watching? Or waiting? I am excited to read your feelings.
